Attention all skin customers/creators. If you are not aware, please read and vote for this jira:

In the 1.23 viewer, LL has changed the order of alpha layers on the avatar. This means that the slider eyebrows and makeup will now draw ON TOP OF your skin instead of underneath it.  Why is this a problem?  If your skin is permissioned "no modify" as many, many skins are and the creator did not set all makeup sliders to zero before applying their custom head texture, your skin will now look like the guy in the above photo and you will not be able to fix it. All of your no mod skins will be broken and it will be upon the creator to repair/replace every skin they've ever sold.

If your skin *is* modifiable, it is likely created that way specifically in order to utilize the underlying layers to allow for tintable lips and eyebrows (as all CS skins are), these types of skins will all be broken and likely irreparable with the slider brows and makeup appearing on top of your custom brow/lip finish.

Tell your friends, write a blog, anything you can think of to get the idea into LL's head that arbitrarily breaking our content is not acceptable!

The first of many planned Halloween posts is now available at Celestial Studios, Panache and Lemon!

Bootleg Annie is a Limited Edition costume that will be available through November 1, 2008.  This costume set includes the following:

1. Sculpted tricorn hat with 4 custom hair colors. (Kari & Zyrra Falcone)
2. Celestial Studios "V2" prototype skin in light and tan with bonus scarred versions. More skin info below!
3. Shape by Haver Cole of Lemon
4. Full outfit including' jacket with top, collar, eye patch, gloves, pants, booty shorts, multiple belt, skirt and scarf configurations, two stocking versions, and scultped boots! (TorridWear, Kari, and Celestial Studios)
5. Custom animation override set by TorridWear that includes 5 stands, a sit, and walk.

Skin Info

The skin in this set is a V2 "prototype" skin, that I started work on over a year ago. Demos are available if you'd like to compare what changes have been made. Overall I feel like it's a smoother skin (which I think translates well in windlight). Only one makeup (with 2 variations) is available for the Bootleg Annie costume. More will be availabe with some of the costumes that we'll be releasing in the coming days and weeks.  Who knows, if there is enough interest, maybe I will develop it as a full new line of skins.  I've taken some photos below of the skin out of the pirate context to show it on its own.

Right now there are only two skintones available. Unlike past Vogue skins, these tones are moddable via the pigment sliders. I'm afraid that means the eyebrows and pubic hair are NOT moddable.  In the event the skin is developed into a full line, I'd love to get some feedback regarding which people prefer to mod, skintone or hair color, since it's not possible to do both without some serious finagling.

New School Collaboration Available Now

I'll try to keep this short and sweet, since I know it's been blogged already. I just wanted to post a quick heads-up that the New School collaboration between myself, Kari, TorridWear and Zyrra is now available at Celestial Studios.

I've been out sick so I'm a bit late getting this information out, but if you've missed it, be sure to check out this big set which now includes a jacket fatpack buying option.  Torrid posted all the information over on her blog, so read up there for all the details.

Colorful New Release

A whole bunch of brightly colored goodies are out today.  Shown above is the Mendy striped tee, which comes in a spectrum of colors and includes a white vest which can be worn separately as well.

I'm just posting the jeans in blue, but they are available in six colors. They include all three prim leg styles same as my other jeans, and are compatible with Celestial Studios belts as well.

A note about prim leg attachments:  The legs are tinted to match my preferred environment settings. You may need to tint them a shade of gray to blend in the best with your own settings, or you may download mine here. Extract the zip file to C:\Program Files\SecondLife\app_settings\windlight\skies (if you chose the default path when you installed Second Life).

Also out today is the Narwa dress. Available in a variety of wild and colorful prints. Shown here for detail in Natural Zebra and all colors below. (Click to enlarge.)

New Clothing Release

Four new clothing items out today for females.

First up, suede pants available in six colors.Four to match my suede belts and bags, and two new shades. Eggplant shown below and teal. (You're welcome Elika!) Like the rest of Celestial Studio's pants, these include all three prim leg attachments and options for both pants and underpants layers.

Box pleated denim skirts available in all 12 Celestial Studios denim finishes.  Medium Light shown here. These come with both gold and silver belt buckles.

Rainbow Stripe Tee, a casual top finished with a cute sculpted prim bow (which is totally optional if bows make you gag.) Available in three shades or as a fatpack.
